Job summary

Thumbtack is seeking a Corporate FP&A Manager in Canada to own the consolidated P&L view, forecast, annual plan, and reporting to executives and the Board. You will lead AI-assisted FP&A workflows and partner across finance teams to ensure a single, accurate view of performance.

The role emphasizes building scalable reporting, driving budgeting cycles, and delivering insights for strategic decisions, all while aligning with the CFO and leadership team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting in a corporate finance function.
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel/Sheets with appropriate complexity.
• Experience applying AI tools to finance workflows and judgment on where they help/hinder.
• History building management and Board-level reporting with narratives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior executives.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/EPM systems listed.
• Ability to query data directly (SQL or equivalent) for forecasting validation.

Responsibilities

• Own the consolidated monthly and quarterly P&L close process, including forecasting, variance analysis, and narrative.
• Lead annual budgeting cycle end to end from bottoms-up build to executive review.
• Build management and Board-level reporting, including decks and quarterly outlooks.
• Apply AI and workflow automation to FP&A processes to speed up reporting and reconciliation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Analytics to maintain a single numbers view.
• Lead ad hoc analyses and scenario modeling for CFO and leadership.
• Partner with Revenue Forecasting and back up revenue/ funnel forecast tasks.
