Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Integrated Imaging Solutions seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer to design and deliver embedded firmware for machine vision cameras. You will own firmware components from design to release, collaborating with FPGA, hardware, and software teams to enable high-performance imaging platforms.

The role requires expert C, C++, RTOS/bare-metal expertise, and FPGA interfacing. Opportunities include technical leadership, mentorship, and on-site collaboration in a design/manufacturing

Qualifications

• Expert embedded C development with strong C++ skills.
• RTOS, bare-metal, interrupt-driven, and DMA-based designs.
• Firmware-to-FPGA interfacing using Ethernet/USB.
• Hardware debugging via schematics, datasheets, and scopes.
• Proven technical leadership and strong communication.
• Experience: 8+ yrs (BS), 6+ yrs (MS), or 3+ yrs (PhD) in related fields.
• Degree in Computer/Electrical Eng or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded firmware in C for camera platforms.
• Build low-level drivers and board support for FPGA-hosted processors.
• Define processor-to-FPGA interfaces, registers, DMA, and interrupts.
• Develop GenICam, GigE Vision, USB3 Vision stacks.
• Optimize real-time performance and streaming throughput.
• Support bring-up, debugging, and firmware releases.
• Investigate customer issues and platform challenges.
• Collaborate with FPGA, hardware, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Lead technical reviews and contribute to project planning.
• Mentor engineers through design discussions and reviews.
