Job summary

Wealthsimple, Canada's leading financial innovator, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives on deep financial-services domain knowledge and hands-on problem solving. You will embed with operations teams, automate high-volume workflows end-to-end, and build AI-augmented automation to reduce risk and improve efficiency.

You'll collaborate across Brokerage, AML/Compliance, and Engineering, translating requirements into robust, reusable solutions.

Qualifications

• Senior software engineer with strong full-stack range and comfort across data pipelines, internal tooling, and AI-augmented workflow automation.
• A genuine collaborator with non-engineers and ability to translate needs into shippable solutions.
• Bias for shipping in the weeds and ability to work without a PM-scope backlog.

Responsibilities

• Embed with enablement teams to understand workflows and friction.
• Automate high-volume manual workflows end-to-end, including regulatory reporting and reconciliations.
• Advance risk oversight for leveraged offerings with automated alerts and daily reconciliations.
• Partner with AI agentic workflows team to reuse components and ensure security and auditable code.
• Prioritize high-impact work with Brokerage leadership and operators.
