The Senior Software Developer will own backend services that track client money, balances, and transactions in real time, partnering with product and other engineers to deliver reliable, low-latency systems.

You’ll design and operate critical services, evolve architectures for scalability, and mentor peers while embracing AI-assisted development to ship faster

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering, building and operating production systems.
• Strong backend design, reliability, and trade-offs thinking.
• Experience with high availability, low-latency services under load.
• Proficiency in Kotlin on JVM; Java background welcomed.
• Production ownership mindset and calmness under pressure.
• Experience with GraphQL, Kafka, and distributed data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services for real-time balances and activity.
• Own end-to-end scope from design to production rollout.
• Address real-time correctness, latency, and availability challenges.
• Evolve architecture to consolidate services and data models.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Explore AI-assisted tooling to accelerate safe shipping.
