POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and other finance-related projects while providing reports to various levels of the organization. This role involves delivering detailed analysis and actionable recommendations to improve visibility into business performance and support decision-making. Additionally, the analyst will research IFRS-related matters, draft accounting memos, and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards. The role also includes supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual MD&A and press releases, providing key insights to stakeholders and external audiences.

DUTIES:

Reporting

• Research IFRS-related matters and draft accounting memos.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual MD&A and press releases.
• Create, maintain, and report on the monthly KPI dashboard.
• Develop, maintain, report, and present management packages monthly, quarterly, and annually.
• Perform variance and comparative analysis with commentary on actual vs. plan results.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, supporting schedules, disclosure notes, and monthly reports.

Continuous Improvement

• Optimize business processes related to financial reporting and analysis.
• Implement and integrate the OneStream consolidation and reporting tool.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and internal control policies; assist with internal controls testing and documentation.

Business Planning and Analysis

• Support the annual financial budget process and its presentation.
• Develop and update forecasting models.
• Analyze operating results for variances from the plan and forecast, providing commentary on discrepancies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; a recognized accounting designation (CPA/ACCA/CA) is preferred.
• 8-10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of IFRS.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with consolidations in a multi-company environment is preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially IFS and OneStream, is preferred.
• Ability to synthesize data and communicate trends effectively to management.
