Responsibilities

• Assist with quarterly financial reporting process, including consolidations and lead-sheet preparation
• Assist in preparation of quarterly financial statements and MD&A
• Prepare monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and regular internal analyses
• Assist with monthly reporting package for management including variance analysis
• Provide accounting support to finance team with data gathering and modelling
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses

Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to cover a 12-month Maternity Leave to join our Finance and Financial Reporting Team.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for or assist with the following:

• Assist with the quarterly financial reporting process, including (but not limited to) consolidations, lead-sheet preparation, high-level accounting entries, calculation of some of the more complex entries, for example: decommissioning liabilities, depletion, foreign exchange, stock-based compensation
• Assisting in the preparation of the quarterly financial statements and MD&A
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly account reconciliations as well as regular internal financial analysis and reporting
• Assisting with the preparation of the monthly reporting package for management, including variance analysis
• Provide accounting support to other members of the finance team, including data gathering, analysis, modeling, etc.
• Ad-hoc financial analysis

Qualifications and Experience
