Job summary

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst to join a high-performing corporate finance team supporting a global organization.

You will deliver accurate financial reporting to executive leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with accounting standards while applying strong technical accounting knowledge. The role includes mentoring junior staff, improving reporting processes, and contributing to complex accounting initiatives across international operations.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification is required.
  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • 5+ years of post-designation accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and technical accounting.
  • Experience preparing consolidated financial statements for complex organizations.
  • Exposure to public company reporting requirements.
  • Knowledge of IFRS; US GAAP experience is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
  • Experience with international operations or foreign subsidiaries is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare consolidated monthly and quarterly financial results, forecasts, and management reporting packages.
  • Analyze financial and operational data from multiple business units and communicate key insights to senior leadership.
  • Review regional financial submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with finance teams across the business to resolve accounting and reporting issues.
  • Prepare quarterly financial statements, MD&A, disclosure documents, and related reporting materials.
  • Research and evaluate complex accounting matters while supporting implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Support external audits and coordinate audit deliverables throughout the reporting cycle.
  • Prepare and review consolidation entries, including joint ventures and non-controlling interests.
  • Contribute to annual financial reporting, continuous disclosure documents, and Audit Committee materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, documentation, and financial systems.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on significant or non-routine transactions.
  • Mentor and support junior financial reporting team members.
  • Partner with cross-functional finance teams on ad hoc analysis and corporate reporting initiatives.

Remuneration
  • Salary range of $110,000 - $120,000, based on experience and qualifications.
