Reporting directly to our CFO, the ideal candidate is a CPA with substantial experience in the technology or software sectors, ready to actively manage our financial operations and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidated financial statements for Canadian and Mexican operations; familiarity with US GAAP preferred.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls across both regions.
- Monitor, analyze, and manage company cash flow effectively.
- Perform monthly cost variance analysis against the annual operating plan.
- Oversee full-cycle accounting operations for Canadian activities including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- File Canadian sales tax remittances.
- Manage knowledge of corporate tax returns and transfer pricing filings.
- Lead initiatives to automate accounting processes for improved efficiency in reporting, reconciliation, and routine tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize integration between accounting and other business systems.
- Prepare accurate and timely Sales Commission reports.
- Manage intercompany processes and understand transfer pricing.
- Undertake additional ad hoc finance-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- CPA designation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive finance experience, ideally within the software or technology industries.
- Proven experience with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Contpaqi.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce or Hubspot).
- Fluency in Spanish is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and hands-on approach to finance.
