ORA Partenaires is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A & Cost Accounting to act as a strategic finance business partner to operational teams within a growing manufacturing environment.

The role involves budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and collaboration with production, inventory, and supply chain functions under the guidance of the CFO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation (or CMA) OR 5+ years of relevant cost analysis/cost accounting experience.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or cost accounting.
• Ideally, French language skills.

We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A & Cost Accounting to act as a strategic finance business partner to our operational teams.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the Manager, Management Accounting.

In this role, you will play an active part in improving the company’s financial and operational performance by analyzing costs, optimizing processes, and supporting business decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

You will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities, particularly those related to production, inventory, and supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Performance & Cost Analysis

• Monitor manufacturing performance indicators and analyze cost trends


• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce costs


• Analyze standard cost variances, including raw materials, labour, and overhead


• Act as a finance business partner to operational teams

Cost Accounting, Inventory & Supply Chain

• Support the calculation, maintenance, and updating of product and standard costs


• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure inventory accuracy


• Analyze purchasing, transportation, and warehousing costs


• Support make-or-buy decisions and logistics optimization initiatives


• Analyze excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory to help optimize working capital

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Close

• Participate in the monthly financial close process


• Contribute to budgeting and financial forecasting for operations and supply chain


• Analyze variances and provide actionable recommendations to management teams

Projects & Systems

• Support capital and operating investment projects (CAPEX/OPEX) by preparing return-on-investment (ROI) analyses


• Ensure the integrity of financial data related to costs and inventory within the ERP system


• Participate in financial system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in cost accounting and financial analysis


• Experience in a manufacturing and/or supply chain environment


• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, complex analysis, and data manipulation


• Experience working with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or equivalent


• Ability to work closely and effectively with operational teams


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent prioritization abilities, and strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• CPA designation (or legacy CMA designation ) OR 5+ years of relevant experience in cost analysis / cost accounting


• 5 to 8 years of experience in finance, FP&A, or cost accounting


• Ideally, the candidate speaks French!
