Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, forecasting, performance measurement, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month/quarter/year-end FP&A processes
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting with cross-functional input
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights for management and reporting
• Analyze and monitor KPIs
• Collaborate with actuarial, claims, and business teams to improve forecasts
• Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests
• Maintain understanding of ledger and planning tools
• Enhance FP&A procedures and controls

Education & Credentials

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or related field

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in financial reporting or FP&A
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel skills
• Experience with large datasets and financial systems (NetSuite/NSPB a plus)
• Effective communicator, capable of presenting to senior leadership
• Knowledge of insurance industry metrics is an asset
• Highly organized, deadline-driven, and self-directed
