Job summary

Spin Master is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Entertainment Finance for the Toronto team. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic support for the Entertainment business, acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders.

The position involves managing financial reporting, royalty administration, and other critical finance activities, with collaboration across Distribution, Development, Production, Licensing, and Marketing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Financial Analysis role.
• CPA designation is required or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of the entertainment industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting and forecasting across the Entertainment Finance stream.
• Build and maintain financial models and analysis for decision support.
• Partner with leaders across Distribution, Development, Production, Licensing, Marketing, and Franchise Marketing.
• Deliver timely financial reporting and insights for business reviews and executive decisions.
• Analyze variance vs. budget/forecast and communicate actionable findings to leaders.
• Support royalty reporting, cash flow projections, and planning tools.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with processes.
• Provide reliable financial data and recommendations to enable informed decision-making across Entertainment.

What will you work on?

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, andstrategic decision support for Spin Master's Entertainment business. Acting as a trusted business partnerto senior leaders, this role will provide financial insights that drive decision-making while also supportingfinancial reporting, royalty administration, and other critical finance activities.

How will you create impact?

• Prepare departmental budgets and forecasts consistent with company budgeting andforecasting cycle
• Partner with leaders across Distribution, Development, Production, Business Affairs,
• Licensing & Marketing, and Franchise Marketing to provide financial guidance, insights,and decision support.
• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting, analysis, and presentations thatsupport business performance reviews and executive decision-making.
• Analyze actual results against budget and forecast, identify key drivers of variances, andcommunicate actionable insights to business and finance leaders.
• Develop and maintain financial models, departmental forecasts, cash flow projections, andother planning tools to support strategic initiatives and resource allocation.
• Track and analyze revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, and key performanceindicators, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business outcomes.
• Support the preparation of brand and project-level profit and loss reporting, includingfinancial performance analysis and forecasting.
• Collaborate with the broader Finance team to ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, andcompliance with company processes and timelines.
• Provide reliable financial data, reporting, and recommendations that enable informeddecision-making across the Entertainment organization.
• Support royalty reporting and payment processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, andtimely execution.
