Job summary

The Home Depot Vaughan, ON, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to influence decision-making through financial data and insights. You will partner with senior leadership and CFO, delivering findings and recommendations and driving results across the merchandising portfolio.

Responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, and creating reporting methods to support proactive business decisions, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring GAAP compliance. CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • CPA designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, forecast and manage average inventory and inventory turns for the merchandising portfolio.
  • Analyze information and develop reports to drive the business and bottom line.
  • Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for decision making.
  • Liaise with partners in divisional and corporate offices to ensure effective communication.
  • Create new and supplemental reporting methods to aid management in proactive problem solving.
  • Participate in budget preparations and analysis.
  • Maintain company records in accordance with GAAP.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the reporting systems.
  • Provide analysis that adds value for strategic decisions.
  • Coordinate with other departments on studies.
  • Demonstrate expertise in business analysis and financial modeling.
  • Work with merchandising learn on developing analysis to drive the business.

Pay Range: $75,000 - $105,000

Position Overview:
As a Senior Financial Analyst, you are the key person influencing decision for key business leaders through financial data and insights, and serve as the main point of contact to provide findings and recommendations to our senior leadership team and CFO. We are the trusted finance partners working collaboratively to identify problems, find efficacies and drive results.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, forecast and manage average inventory and inventory turns for the merchandising portfolio.
  • Analyze information and develop reports to drive the business and to improve the “bottom line.”
  • Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for the use in the development of financial business decisions.
  • Liaise with business partners in divisional and corporate offices to ensure an effective communication process.

  • Maintain company records in accordance with general accounting principles.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the reporting systems.
