Job summary

Vaco/Highspring’s client in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a 1-year contract. You will develop and maintain financial and operational dashboards, support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and improve reporting processes to boost accuracy and efficiency.

You will review ERP configurations (Sage Intacct experience is a plus), automate tasks, document procedures, and collaborate with finance and operations to deliver practical solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong communication across finance and operations and ability to translate requirements.

Senior Financial Analyst – 1 year Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial and operational reports, dashboards, and management reporting tools.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
• Improve reporting processes and automate manual tasks to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
• Review and optimize financial system configurations, workflows, approvals, controls, and user access structures.
• Assist with process improvements across core finance functions such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, project accounting, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and project stakeholders to gather requirements and implement practical solutions.
• Create documentation, procedures, and user guides to support knowledge transfer and long-term sustainability.
• Analyze existing processes and recommend best practices to streamline workflows and improve reporting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working with cloud-based financial management and ERP systems, Sage Intacct a strong asset
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.
• Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting.
• Proven track record improving financial processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.
• Ability to translate business requirements into practical system and process solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across finance and operational teams.
• Experience documenting processes and supporting user adoption is considered an asset.

Salary

$90,000/ Year
