Job description

Senior Analyst, Finance

Status: 1 Year Contract
Location: North York, Toronto

The Lifemark Clinic Financial Analytics team is focused on providing impactful reporting and analyses to the business to manage and drive growth in total revenue and maximize productivity in labour including hourly, salaried, and fee-for-service labour. The Senior Analyst, Finance will assist in performing analyses to generate relevant and actionable insights supported by data, focused on supporting business decisions and financial controls. They will utilize various reporting tools and will liaise with various stakeholders to forecast, plan, and analyze results to ensure the delivery of accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and quality period-end Management reporting and provide variance analyses against forecast, plan and prior year for Senior Management, Operations and Clinics
  • Weekly analysis of revenue by region/funder type/clinic
  • Regular analysis of hourly, salary, fee for service and indirect labour costs by clinic for cost-saving opportunities or capacity underutilization
  • Analyze/model new revenue and labour initiatives and quantify the financial impact to aid in decision making within the organization
  • Analyze impact of volume vs. rate on labour costs
  • Work closely with business teams to ensure that initiatives are properly built in the plan and forecasts
  • Work closely with HR and Operations to understand revenue/labour results, trends and opportunities by store
  • Adhoc reports, analyses and other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced computer skills in Excel; working knowledge of Power BI and macros an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and an appreciation and acumen for having detailed checks and balances in place
  • Must be able to provide sound analysis and comparisons with some guidance
  • Adaptive and ability to prioritize work
  • 3+ years experience working in finance
  • Strong sense of ownership to meet commitments and deadlines
  • Communicates with clarity; verbally and written
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen, career driven and keen to learn and contribute
  • CPA is considered an asset
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or related field
