Job Summary

Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting & Consolidations to join their Finance team. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting & Consolidation, you will work collaboratively to support the Company’s business strategies as it relates to financial accounting, controls, and reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive team looking to take its next steps in transforming into a high-performing group!

As the Senior Accountant, Corporate Accounting & Consolidations you will be involved in …

  • Assisting in the performance of the quarterly consolidation process and the preparation of elimination entries between subsidiaries in a multi-currency environment
  • Preparing and reviewing financial reporting packages of multiple reporting units in accordance with IFRS, collaborating with global accounting teams to support the month-end and quarter end close process
  • Supporting maintenance and execution of internal controls
  • Preparing, reviewing and finalizing journal entries as necessary
  • Assisting with quarterly reviews and year-end audits
  • Providing cross-functional assistance to other teams to support new and ongoing business initiatives/projects
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement on current processes and helping implement recommendations
  • Performing other ad hoc duties as needed

You would be the best fit for this role if you have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience of relevant accounting experience
  • Public company accounting experience is preferred
  • Experience in account reconciliations and preparation of working papers, preferably in settings with multiple entities across different currencies
  • Process-oriented
  • Effective time-management and prioritization skills in a deadline-driven environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
