Overview :

Our client within the retail & manufacturing industry is seeking a strong Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing team.

In this role, as a Senior Financial Analyst, you will assist our client with daily accounting operations, including preparing and / or reviewing appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, sales tax compliance and filings, and other related duties.

Responsibilities :

• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and assist with closing of the books
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows
• Post monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals
• Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
• Provide audit support as needed
• Leads robust business planning through accurate budgeting / forecasting
• Performing monthly analytics to explain actual vs. projected expenses
• Responsible for financial plans to understand the revenue and cost drivers of a business
• Summarise and contextualise financial results
• Identify & lead process improvement
• Strategic business partner who leverages relationships with Senior Level Operational Leads to drive financial planning
• Ad-hoc analyses in support of the Controller and CFO

Skills and experiences :

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• CPA or MBA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting & finance experience
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel using pivot tables and v-lookups
• Experience using ERP software – SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics suite
