Job summary

Ice River Sustainable Solutions, a Canadian leader in sustainable manufacturing, seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in Shelburne, ON. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis across the organization, turning data into actionable insights.

Reporting to the Finance team, you will collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales to explain performance, build models, and influence decisions. Hybrid schedule with some remote days.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, Accounting, Reporting, or Business Analysis.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to present to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
• Analyze actual results against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Investigate variances and identify key business drivers.

Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Shelburne, ON (Hybrid)

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000

The Opportunity

Ice River Sustainable Solutions is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing Finance team.

This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys turning data into actionable business insights. Reporting into the Finance team, you will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and business decision‑making across multiple areas of the organization.

Working closely with operational and business leaders, you will help identify trends, explain financial performance, and provide analysis that supports strategic and operational decisions.

Hybrid Work Schedule

Tuesdays and Thursdays in our Shelburne Corporate Office, with the remaining days worked remotely. Please be aware that this could change in the future.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages

• Partner with leaders across Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and other business functions
• Support business cases, capital investment analysis, and cost‑saving initiatives
• Assist with management presentations and executive reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality, and forecasting accuracy
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decisions

What We're Looking For

• Post‑secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Financial Analysis, FP&A, Accounting, Reporting, or Business Analysis
• Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non‑financial stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent FP&A experience
• Experience within manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or a multi‑site environment
