Job Description: Senior Financial Analyst
Our client specializes in developing, manufacturing, packaging, and testing non-sterile liquid and semi-solid pharmaceuticals, focusing on topical products such as creams, gels, and lotions.
Responsibilities:
- Cost Accounting & Analysis:
- Maintain and analyze standard costs for raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods in SAP.
- Conduct variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) to identify cost drivers and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate cost allocations and inventory valuations.
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for manufacturing operations.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, highlighting key performance indicators and variances.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Strategic Business Support:- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate the cost implications of new products, processes, and capital investments.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies and margin improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
Systems & Process Improvement:- Leverage SAP and other financial systems to streamline reporting and analysis processes.
- Identify opportunities to enhance financial systems and tools for better efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies related to financial reporting and cost accounting.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in financial analysis with a strong emphasis on cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in SAP FI/CO modules and advanced Excel functionalities (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence decision-making.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
