Vaco is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a 6-month contract to permanent opportunity in the Greater Toronto Area. The ideal candidate holds a CPA designation (or nearing completion) and has 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, with Oracle/AS400 and advanced Excel skills.

Job description

Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst for 6-month contract to permanent opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Period-end close, posting journal entries, account reconciliations
• Banking, credit card coding, intercompany
• Perform in-depth financial analysis
• Resolving any operational concerns
• Fixed assets schedules for all entities including additions, disposals, depreciation, etc.
• GST/HST/QST filings
• Work closely with operating divisions and FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other cross functional teams to support reporting and analysis
• Financial reporting / non-statistical /sustainability reporting
• Working with 2 ERP systems identifying efficiencies
• Help streamline processes, improve templates, and standard operating procedures
• Contribute to improving data accuracy, reporting efficiencies, close timelines, etc.
• Ad-hoc work

Requirements:

• CPA designation or at the end of process
• 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Commodity tax experience
• Experience with Oracle and AS400 and advanced Excel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to implement process improvements
• Meticulous with high level of accuracy and good judgement.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Pay Rate

$40.00 / Hour
