Finney-Taylor Consulting Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Alberta to join our finance team. The role focuses on analyzing complex datasets, verifying accuracy, and supporting financial reporting with advanced Excel skills.

The incumbent will leverage proficiency in PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and SharePoint Online to collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure reliable financial statements. CPA credential is preferred for leadership in accounting practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing data analysis to profile, validate, reconcile, troubleshoot and analyze complex datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
• Experience with accounting principles and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial statements.
• Experience working with SharePoint Online and multi-user spreadsheets for simultaneous access and updates.

Must Have Primary Skills :

• Demonstratedexperience performing data analysis techniques to profile, validate,reconcile, troubleshoot, and analyze complex datasets.
• Work experiencecreating and using advanced Excel skills such as Pivot table, VLOOKUP etc.
• Experience usingaccounting principles and accounting standards or equivalent
• Experience with andknowledge of financial reporting ensuring the accuracy and reliability offinancial statements, and using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience workingwith SharePoint online, including working with spreadsheets accessedsimultaneously by multiple users while still being able to add, modify andfilter

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :

• CPA designation.
• Relevantpost-secondary education in the areas of business administration, accountingor finance, Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates.
• Experience applyingfinancial audit, and/or financial controls, and/or financial reconciliation,and/or financial systems governance principles to large-scale data migration,data conversion, or ERP implementation projects.
• Experience usingERP systems such as SAPExperience workingin accounting systems creating processes, managing budgets, and internalcontrols
• The ability toaccurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures andfinancial records.
