Responsibilities

They are seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting activities. This opportunity is well suited for a CPA candidate or designated CPA looking to expand their technical expertise and grow within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Support public company reporting requirements, regulatory filings, and audit processes.
• Prepare working papers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for external reporting and compliance activities.

Corporate & Operational Accounting

• Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial records across multiple entities.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, cash management activities, and intercompany transactions.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking for operational and project-related activities.

Process Improvement & Business Support

• Assist in enhancing accounting processes, internal controls, and financial reporting workflows.
• Prepare financial analyses and reporting packages for management decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational initiatives, special projects, and ad hoc requests.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA designation or active pursuit of the designation is considered an asset.
• Strong understanding of IFRS or demonstrated ability to learn and apply accounting standards quickly.
• Experience in project-based, industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, construction, or natural resource sectors is beneficial but not required.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working within multi-entity environments.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
