Westland Insurance Group Ltd. seeks a Senior Financial Accountant in Surrey, BC to manage critical financial information supporting our growing business and client service standards. You’ll demonstrate versatility, attention to detail, and strong financial control.

The role offers a 35-hour work week with a compensation range of CAD 76,000 to 95,000, plus incentives and training support. Join a collaborative team at our Head Office and help drive accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• CPA designation and M&A experience.
• Degree in Commerce or Business with finance focus.
• Minimum four years in financial accounting roles; seven years total experience.

• Ensure accuracy of financial statements, reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Navigate financial integrations of newly acquired entities with company policies.
• Contribute to various projects to improve accounting practices.

Expected Compensation: The expected hiring range for this role is $76,000 to $95,000 based on a 35-hour work week. Actual offered salary will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as market conditions for the role, and internal equity.

• A minimum of four years’ experience as a financial Accountant/senior financial Accountant role with at least seven years of professional experience
• CPA designation and experience in Mergers and Acquisitions
• Experience in auditing
