Finlink Group is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-18 month contract. The ideal candidate is a CPA-designated accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and will deliver accurate monthly financial reporting while supporting year-end activities, compliance, and ongoing projects.

The role emphasizes full-cycle accounting, strong Excel/Office skills, and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams across the business.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• ASPE knowledge.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting, including purchasing and billing.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Effective communication across all levels of the organization.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite, including SharePoint.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software is an asset.
• Experience in mining or manufacturing industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly close process, including preparing working papers, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and posting journal entries.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and file regulatory returns, including GST/HST, WCB, royalties, and other filings.
• Maintain customer and vendor records and related financial information.
• Support the year-end audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
• Contribute to finance initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide support across the finance department as needed.

What We’re Looking For
