Job summary

Weatherford in Lloydminster, Alberta is seeking a Wireline Operator to support planning, load-out, rigging, and basic maintenance of wireline tools and units. You will drive units between job sites, service down-hole tools, perform cable tests, and assist with data collection and reporting under supervision.

This 21 days on / 7 days off rotation requires a safety-minded, physically fit team player who can travel with the crew and participate in mandatory safety training.

Qualifications

• Class 3 or Class 1 license with clean abstract; Class 5 with experience considered
• Must be physically fit
• Demonstrated mechanical ability
• Shift work with 24 hours on call and scheduled days off
• Willing to travel with Wireline crew
• Safety training as condition of employment
• Reliable transportation
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare, load-out/backload, rigging, clean-up and basic maintenance of tools, equipment, and Wireline units.
• Drive Wireline unit to/from job locations.
• Service down-hole tools and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform Wireline cable tests and re-heads, and preventative maintenance.
• Adhere to Weatherford safety and quality procedures.
• Support data collection and reporting under supervision.
