Job summary

NES Fircroft Ltd in Alberta seeks a Wireline Operator / Processor for a contract role across field locations. Expect 12‑hour days with up to 7 days per week as needed, starting mid December.

You will operate wireline equipment, perform maintenance, process core samples, and maintain client relations on site. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to follow directions are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous wireline operator experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical ability and troubleshooting skills.
• Able to follow supervisor instructions and work with senior personnel.
• Industry experience and product line training required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Title: Wireline Operator / Processor
Location: Shop in Leduc AB, Field locations throughout AB
Start date: Mid December
Employment type: Contract
Schedule: 12 hr days, up to 7 days/week as needed

Day to day:

• Work with Coring Field Engineers on day-to-day well-site work and activities.
• Operate wireline wench while pulling cores.
• Provide mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting for wireline system
• Process and mark core samples and prepare for shipment to Lab
• Maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism.
• Execute other related duties as assigned. Conducts all business activities in accordance with company HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and company Core Values.
• Develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Coring Systems services at the well site.
• Successfully complete additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent customer awareness.
• Ability to relate to well site personnel at all levels, strong team member, and demonstrate leadership capability.

Requirements:

• Safe driving of personal vehicle to location
• Transportation of some equipment as needed
• Follow procedures laid out by SDC
• Complete required paperwork and training
• Ensure competency for Coring systems is complete
• 1 HSE Intelex observation for any month in which a job is performed
