Job summary

Real Time Networks in Milton, Ontario is seeking a Senior Network Technician to lead field network installations and Tier 2/3 support across Canada and the United States. This role combines hands-on hardware deployment with advanced networking to ensure go-live readiness and ongoing service excellence.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in IT, Computer Networking, Electronics, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in network administration, field technical support, or IT infrastructure.
• Proven hands-on experience with hardware installation, low-voltage cabling, rack mounting, and device commissioning.
• Experience with IoT devices, RFID systems, or security access control technology is a strong asset.
• CCNA/CompTIA Network+ or equivalent certification required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, configure, and deploy network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPN, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and firewall configurations.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues at customer sites and integrate with enterprise security protocols.
• Lead hardware installation, assembly, and commissioning of Real Time Networks hardware at customer sites across Canada and the U.S.
• Provide advanced Tier 2/3 technical support during and between installations.
• Deliver technical training to end-users and administrators.
