Senior Field Claims Adjuster - Commercial Property

Join us as a Senior Field Claims Adjuster - Commercial Property at Wawanesa Insurance.

About the Role

This position involves adjusting high complexity and large loss property claims, ensuring a seamless claims experience through fair and equitable practices. Daily travel is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, empathetic support and guidance to members throughout the claims process.
• Communicate proactively and effectively via voice, digital, and written channels.
• Adjust complex and large loss property claims, interpret policy coverages, and determine liability.
• Establish accurate loss and expense reserves and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Negotiate claim settlements within authority limits and document all activities thoroughly.
• Maintain current knowledge of policy coverages, legislative changes, and industry trends.
• Review repair estimates, create narratives, and generate estimates using estimating software.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to claims staff, supporting team collaboration and handling of full or task-based files.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years insurance adjusting experience, preferably with commercial property.
• Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of property estimating software, especially Xactware.
• Excellent communication, investigative, analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physical demands, including travel, working outdoors, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
