Job summary

JLL in Ottawa (Kanata) is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to oversee the campus facilities operations and lead the on-site engineering team. You will manage critical environments, partner with the client's executives, and own the budget and KPIs to drive cost efficiency.

The role requires a strong technical background in mechanical or electrical facilities, with 10+ years of leadership in managing data centers and large-scale operations. On-site, with opportunities for strategic improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive facilities management experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or other technical or facilities certification.
• Experience in data centers and managing multiple vendors and capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of campus facilities ensuring services are delivered per policy.
• Manage service contracts and financial performance; conduct RFPs and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Lead facility management/engineering teams on maintenance programs for interior/exterior facilities.
• Ensure prompt response to client/building occupants' requests.
• Develop annual facility budget and on-going forecasts.
• Coordinate data collection and KPI reporting for facility management objectives.
• Hire, train and manage facility staff and maintain proactive employee relations.
• Maintain relationships with client executives and other stakeholders.
