Job summary

PCL Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead detailed cost estimates for large hard-bid, construction management, and design-build projects across Canada. You will develop bid strategies, perform quantity take-offs, and coordinate with operations to finalize proposals.

The ideal candidate holds a Gold Seal in estimating, has 12+ years of cost estimating experience, and has led pursuits up to $250M. Strong leadership and client presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or Trade experience or equivalent.
• Gold Seal certification in estimating required (CDN).
• 12 years of progressive experience in construction cost estimating with 12 months of onsite experience preferred.
• Experience with pursuits up to $250 million in various delivery models.
• Knowledge of bid preparation, quantity take-off, and contract terms.

Responsibilities

• Conducts detailed analysis of contract documents and specifications for large projects to determine requirements.
• Establishes a critical path schedule with milestone dates to meet completion dates.
• Performs full quantity take-off of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Leads pricing of general expenses and project-specific requirements.
• Prepares and delivers client presentations and bid proposals.
• Documents all estimate information for transfer to project team.
