Job summary

Graham Contracting, Ltd. is recruiting a Senior Estimator for the Buildings Division in Canada.

The role focuses on delivering accurate project scopes and cost estimates, interpreting tender documents, and coordinating with internal teams and partners to achieve successful outcomes. Reporting to the Preconstruction & Estimating Director, the position emphasizes mentorship of junior staff, risk assessment, and managing bid processes across Healthcare, Institutional, and residential projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Gold Seal Certification and LEED/LEAN experience are assets.
• 10–12 years of combined field and estimating experience.
• Hard Bid experience and assets in Healthcare, Institutional or residential projects.
• Advanced proficiency in estimating software, MS Excel, scheduling tools (Primavera).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor team: Guide junior estimators and oversee the estimating process.
• Prepare accurate estimates: Complete detailed cost estimates, including labor, equipment, and overheads.
• Assess risks and opportunities: Identify constructability issues, cost-saving strategies, and competitive advantages.
• Manage bid process: Oversee bid closings and ensure subcontractor scopes and pricing are accurate.
• Develop schedules and scopes: Create preliminary construction schedules and subcontractor scopes for planning.
