Join Our Team as a Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer at Montrose Environmental Group

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist or Engineer to join our Calgary office, part of our Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation and Monitoring (ARRM) team. This role involves working on a broad range of environmental projects, including site assessment, remediation, and monitoring.

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in and promoting Montrose's strong safety culture
• Leading or supporting site assessment, remediation, and monitoring projects
• Overseeing projects with less than 25% of time spent in the field
• Ensuring effective communication and collaboration to deliver high-quality results
• Managing project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication
• Preparing technical reports, proposals, work plans, and cost estimates
• Contributing to a collaborative team environment
• Engaging in professional development and career growth opportunities

Qualifications:

• Degree or diploma in environmental science or related field
• At least 8 years of consulting experience in site assessment and remediation in Alberta or British Columbia
• Eligibility for registration with a professional organization (e.g., AIA, ASET, APEGA)
• Experience with technical report writing, work plans, and cost estimates
• Experience with field sampling, borehole logging, and data evaluation
• Strong communication skills and self-motivation
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license and experience operating field equipment
