Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Risk Assessor to join our Toxicology and Health Risk Assessment team from an Ontario office (negotiable location). You will lead complex health and ecological risk assessments and mentor staff while acting as a technical advisor to clients and regulators across Ontario and Canada.

The role emphasizes QPRA oversight, development of Risk Management Plans, and collaboration with remediation teams to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering
• QPRA under Ontario Regulation 153/04 required
• Experience leading risk assessments and Risk Management Plans (RMPs)
• Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario is a strong asset
• Ten to fifteen years in environmental consulting focusing on risk assessment and brownfield redevelopment
• Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and client relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex human health and ecological risk assessments
• Provide senior technical oversight as QPRA
• Lead the preparation of Risk Management Plans
• Collaborate on site models and regulatory compliance
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and quality
• Mentor junior risk staff and lead client relationships
• Represent clients with regulators (MECP) and stakeholders
