Job summary

WSP is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead remediation and assessment projects across Northern Canada. The role involves planning, coordinating fieldwork, mentoring junior staff, and delivering compliant reports for clients in the oil and gas sector.

A strong background in Phase I & II ESAs, site investigations, and health and safety is essential. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary RPM team across offices, contribute to project proposals, and ensure

Qualifications

• University degree or diploma in engineering, or natural/earth sciences.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in contaminated site assessments and conceptual site models of Upstream oil and gas sites.
• Experience working in the north is preferred.
• Professional designation with eligibility to register in NWT and Yukon is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a team environment, work closely with Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers.
• Prepare Health and Safety plans and Emergency response plans.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates, schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for, and write, reports including conclusions and recommendations.
• Be responsible for project accounting, tracking and reporting requirements to the terms of reference under WSP’s Master Services Agreements.
• Train junior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation, and on-site health and safety.
