Job summary

WSP is seeking an Environmental Assessment and Remediation Project Manager to join the Remediation Program Management (RPM) team in Calgary or Edmonton. You will manage risk and closure of contaminated sites in the downstream oil and gas sector, design and oversee field work, and prepare technical reports.

Strong time management and communication skills are essential, with a self-motivated, proactive approach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (sciences and/or Engineering).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in contaminated site assessments.
  • Sound understanding of the need for health and safety procedures in the workplace.
  • Analytical mind capable of making recommendations for next steps on client sites.
  • Strong business acumen with financial management experience, including budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe and positive environment for colleagues.
  • Lead a project team and manage health/safety plans, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Oversee report writing, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Manage project accounting, tracking, and reporting per terms of reference under WSP Master Services Agreements.
  • Train junior staff in environmental practices and site safety; develop client relationships.
