ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. and Amico Major Projects Inc. are seeking an Environmental PLAA Coordinator for the Ontario Line project.

You will manage permits, approvals and agreements, coordinate with the Environmental Manager and PLAA teams, and liaise with government authorities and stakeholders. Role requires a decade of experience in environmental permitting for major transit projects, strong regulatory knowledge, and excellent coordination and communication skills for a high-paced

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or related field.
  • Minimum ten years of professional experience.
  • Experience procuring environmental permits on transit projects in Ontario.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial environmental policies and laws.
  • Ability to liaise with consultants, contractors and authorities.
  • Experience in design or construction of large infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD and SharePoint.
  • Strong communication, independence and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with authorities via the Contracting Authority Representative.
  • Review project documents to identify permit and approval requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with city and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with PLAA Manager to ensure permits have environmental input.
  • Prepare, submit, and track PLAA applications (TRCA VPR, DFO, MECP, etc.).
  • Track requirements for PLAAs (SDA, PTTW, EASR, CoT permits).
  • Use PLAA Tracking System to monitor PLAAs progress.
  • Coordinate input to permit tracker and repository for comments and submissions.
  • Upload plans/records into government registries as required.
  • Identify issues, define mitigation, and report to Environmental Manager.
