Job summary

PRI Engineering Corp. seeks a Senior Environmental Specialist to lead environmental assessment, regulatory permitting, and construction environmental management across energy, infrastructure, and resource projects.

The role involves owning permitting strategy from early assessment through on-site oversight, liaising with regulators, and mentoring junior staff. You will work across BC and Western Canada, manage environmental compliance on active sites, support engagement with Indigenous

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, biology, or related discipline required.
• Minimum 8–10 years of environmental consulting experience in permitting and assessment.
• Registration or eligibility for RPBio, P.Ag, or AScT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental assessments under provincial and federal frameworks with scoping, data collection, and mitigation planning.
• Oversee permitting strategies and applications under Water Sustainability Act and related approvals.
• Lead Fisheries Act reviews and serve as PRI's liaison with regulators (DFO).
• Manage construction environmental monitoring programs and EMPs across projects.
