Morson Group seeks an experienced Site Environmental Lead to support pipeline and field operations across Northern British Columbia. You will report to the Environmental Manager in Prince George and ensure environmental compliance, working with regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidates should have hands-on pipeline experience and a strong understanding of BC environmental regulations and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading environmental efforts on pipeline or major infrastructure projects.

  • Ability to interact with regulatory agencies and inspectors.
  • Hands-on field-based environmental compliance experience.
  • Ability to work independently in remote, camp-based environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide environmental leadership and support at active pipeline project sites.
  • Ensure field activities comply with BC environmental regulations, permits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, inspectors, and other external stakeholders.
  • Monitor environmental performance and identify potential compliance issues or risks.
  • Support environmental inspections, reporting, documentation, and incident investigations.
  • Work closely with construction and project teams to implement environmental protection measures.
  • Provide guidance to field personnel on environmental requirements and best practices.
  • Prepare and maintain environmental reports and records.
  • Escalate environmental concerns and compliance issues to the Environmental Manager.
  • Support the overall environmental management strategy for pipeline construction and operations.

Location: Calgary, AB initially (4-6 months); Prince George, BC
Work Arrangement: 14 days on / 7 days off (FIFO)
Employment Type: Contract or Permanent
Salary: $125,000 - $160,000/year
Hourly Rate: $90 - $120/hour
Start Date: November ,2026

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Site Environmental Leads to support pipeline and field operations across Northern British Columbia. Reporting to the Environmental Manager based in Prince George, these roles will be responsible for ensuring environmental compliance, supporting field operations, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience working as an Environmental Lead, Environmental Coordinator, Environmental Advisor, or similar role on pipeline or major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of British Columbia environmental regulations.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory agencies and regulatory representatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working on pipeline projects.
  • Strong field‑based environmental compliance experience.
  • Ability to work independently in remote and camp‑based environments.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder‑management skills.
