Job summary

Air Canada is seeking a senior Data & AI Solution Architect to lead the design, governance, and modernization of enterprise data and AI platforms. You will translate business strategy into scalable technical solutions, overseeing development, infrastructure, data, and security considerations.

You will mentor architects and engineers while guiding cross-functional teams through inception, design, and implementation of data lakehouse, streaming, and BI platforms to enable real-time insights and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
10+ years IT experience including 5+ years as solution/enterprise architect.
Expertise in cloud architectures (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP beneficial).
Deep experience with Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, streaming frameworks.

Responsibilities

Define and evolve enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, and patterns for AI, Data, and cloud-native platforms.
Lead enterprise-scale solution design aligned with strategy and roadmaps.
Oversee end-to-end solution architecture for complex programs and guide teams through inception to implementation.
Govern enterprise BI/analytics consumption architecture for consistency and scalability.
Mentor solution architects and engineers to raise architectural maturity across teams.
Drive modernization initiatives including cloud migrations, Kubernetes, and serverless architectures.
