Job summary

Sage Recruiting Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead multiple teams delivering enterprise software across our Financial Management growth segment in Toronto. You will set directions, own architecture decisions, and drive reliability and velocity with AI and automation as core levers.

You will stay hands-on to debug issues, ship fixes, and improve operational readiness while coaching managers and ICs toward higher performance and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and building enterprise software.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams to ship features.
• Strong cross-functional partnership and customer-obsessed mindset.
• Experience with modern SDLC, CI/CD and automation.
• Fluent in delivery metrics and shift-left quality with AI/automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams to deliver roadmap outcomes; hire, coach, and set clear performance expectations.
• Set technical direction and prioritize architecture decisions to reduce tech debt and scale velocity.
• Stay hands-on: debug customer issues, ship fixes, and improve operational readiness.
• Own outcomes end-to-end with measurable success metrics and course corrections.
• Provide feedback on product and technical specs to guide decisions.
• Embed AI and automation to reduce toil and accelerate delivery.
