Job summary

The University of Waterloo seeks a Manager, Engineering and Infrastructure Renewal to deliver infrastructure renewal and maintenance projects with senior technical leadership. You will guide design reviews, advise internal stakeholders, and coordinate with consultants and contractors to ensure safe, reliable campus operations.

Ideal candidates will have 7–9 years of engineering experience, a degree in engineering, and a preference for a P.Eng designation.

Qualifications

University degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Electrical, or a related discipline.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides senior engineering expertise and technical leadership for infrastructure renewal, major repairs and maintenance projects.
Reviews engineering designs, technical documentation and project requirements for alignment with operational needs and standards.
Provides technical advice to stakeholders, project teams, consultants and contractors on infrastructure systems and project issues.
Leads the review of project design documents and acts as SME for the Maintenance division on capital projects.
Ensures project outcomes align with university priorities and communicates operational impacts.
