Job summary

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) invites applications for a Senior Engineer in Renewable Energy Programs. You will report to the Manager, Renewable Energy Engineering, overseeing REP’s roughly $1B of projects, including eBus charging, BESS, solar PV, and related decarbonization initiatives.

Responsibilities include risk management, coordination across projects, QA of submittals, safety plan support, and development of procedures for new REP systems.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering with experience in critical industrial infrastructure design.
• Mandatory professional engineer license in Ontario.
• PM expertise is an asset; strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight for REP projects and operations.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks; coordinate interdependencies.
• Review technical reports, test results, and documentation.
• Develop and enforce safety plans and procedures.
• Oversee quality and timeliness of construction and commissioning.
