Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a senior process control engineer to join our Thunder Bay or Sudbury offices to support growth in Central Canada. You will lead projects from front-end studies to field implementation, focusing on detailed engineering and technically quality outcomes.

In this role you will mentor engineers, manage control scopes, and build strong client relationships while driving process control excellence across mining and energy projects in Canada.

Qualifications

• University degree in electrical engineering with mining or energy experience preferred
• Registered P.Eng in Ontario with 4+ years as licensed engineer in Canada
• Experience leading process control scopes from concept to detailed engineering
• Hands-on with industrial control systems, programming, integration and commissioning
• Strong knowledge of P&IDs, control narratives, networks, and control system specs
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams and review senior-level work

Your future role on our team

BBA is seeking a senior process control engineer to join our new Thunder Bay office or existing Sudbury office to support our continued growth in Central Canada. You'll play a lead role in all phases of engineering projects, from front-end studies to field implementation, with a focus on detailed engineering.

As a senior member of the Automation, Instrumentation and Control System engineering team in Central Canada, you'll be responsible for ensuring technical quality, identifying new business opportunities and fostering team development.

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements

• University degree in electrical engineering with over 8 years of mining or energy experience (consulting preferred)
• Registered P.Eng. in Ontario, with more than 4 years as a licensed professional engineer in Canada
• Experience leading process control scopes, from conceptual and feasibility studies to detailed engineering
• Hands-on experience with industrial control systems, programming, integration, troubleshooting and commissioning
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated leadership in developing P&IDs, control narratives, industrial networks and control system specifications, while ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams, provide direction and review senior-level engineering work
• Strong communication, client relationship and organizational skills
• Valid driver's licence
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally for project and site work
• Asset: business development experience
