Senior Engineer Land Surveyor (Tunnel Project)

Join to apply for the Senior Engineer Land Surveyor (Tunnel Project) role at Protecnium.

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en).

We are currently looking for an Engineer Land Surveyor to join our team in Toronto (100% on-site).

  • Project: subway/tunnel project
  • Estimated duration: 24 months, with potential extension. We aim to place candidates in new projects upon completion.
  • Summary: Seeking a dedicated, experienced surveyor with extensive civil project experience to lead and contribute to major projects, ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, and effective time management. Strong leadership, technical skills, and adaptability are essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform survey tasks in field and office settings.
  • Prepare and verify field data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate survey reports and as-built drawings.
  • Enhance survey processes for efficiency.
  • Mentor and support survey team members.
  • Handle materials responsibly, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining the Survey Network.
  • Collaborate with other surveyors to meet project needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 8 years of experience as an Engineer Land Surveyor in civil or similar projects.
  • Bachelor's degree or studies in Topography or related field.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D, Cyclone, and advanced survey equipment (Leica preferred).
  • Leadership experience in survey teams is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of underground works and civil construction methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Laser Scanners, Total Stations, GNSS, Digital Levels.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts.
