Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for an Engineer Land Surveyor to join our team in Toronto (100% on-site).

Project: subway/tunnel project

Estimated duration: 24 months, with the possibility of extension. We aim to place candidates in other projects after completion to ensure continuity.

Summary: This role demands a versatile professional capable of performing effectively across varied project environments. It offers an opportunity to contribute to major civil projects by ensuring precise survey data collection and analysis. Adaptability, technical proficiency, and a proactive approach are essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist Senior Surveyors during high workload periods.
  2. Execute survey requests outside specific station areas as directed.
  3. Fulfill survey department requirements including data acquisition and stakeouts related to the project network.
  4. Coordinate with the Digital Delivery department, supporting drone flights and other needs. Continuously improve surveying skills.
  5. Mentor and support Survey Assistants' professional development.
  6. Propose and implement measures to enhance survey section efficiency.
  7. Handle materials responsibly and follow safety protocols.
  8. Establish, measure, and maintain the Survey Network as required.
  9. Collaborate with other surveyors to meet project objectives.

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of experience as an Engineer Land Surveyor in structures, stations, heavy civil construction, or similar.
  • A bachelor's degree is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of Civil 3D and Point Cloud software is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with survey equipment such as Laser Scanners, Total Stations, GNSS receivers, Digital Levels (Leica preferred).
  • Skills in technological hardware and software solutions are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Highly adaptable to changing scenarios.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 10-hour days.
