Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Principal Engineer - Contract Manufacturing to lead complex product design and development projects with emphasis on design transfer and process/equipment development at contract manufacturing sites.

You will coordinate cross-functional resources, manage project execution, and lead remote and in-person teams to deliver strategic results; travel approximately 50% is expected. The position supports regulatory commitments and audits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading design transfer activities and process development in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ and equipment qualification requirements.
• Knowledge of medical device quality systems (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver design transfer and validation activities.
• Lead or oversee design transfer, process validation, and supplier onboarding at CM sites.
• Monitor performance against metrics for service, delivery, quality and cost.
• Support audits and regulatory commitments with cross-functional teams.
