Position: Engagement Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated Engagement Manager to join our Advisory group in Montreal. Hatch's Advisory practice provides management consulting services integrated with engineering expertise to deliver sustainable value, addressing business, financial, and operational goals. Our projects span the entire value chain, from transactions support to operational effectiveness, developing tailored solutions for global challenges.

Responsibilities

1. Lead end-to-end engagements, delivering measurable impacts such as cost savings and KPI improvements.
2. Manage and lead subject matter experts within engagements.
3. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, maintaining high quality standards.
4. Supervise, coach, and contribute to team value creation.
5. Structure problems and define workstreams to maximize impact.
6. Respond efficiently to client concerns, coaching clients in problem-solving.
7. Identify and resolve barriers to successful analysis.
8. Develop and expand client networks, building effective relationships.
9. Engage stakeholders proactively to manage expectations.
10. Customize global best practices to fit client contexts.
11. Mentor team members and foster innovative solutions.
12. Support project risk evaluations and strategic planning activities.

Qualifications

1. 8-10+ years of management consulting experience.
2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
3. Advanced degrees (MBA, PhD) are advantageous.
4. Proven experience in mining, metals, energy, or infrastructure projects.
5. Strong knowledge in areas such as Strategy, Business Transformation, Capital Productivity, etc.
6. Experience managing large-scale operational engagements.
7. Ability to handle ambiguity and extract value from projects.
8. Excellent client relationship management and business development skills.
9. Leadership qualities that motivate and support teams.
