Job summary

Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) is a fast-growing energy consulting firm with offices in Calgary and across the U.S. We seek a seasoned Consultant to join our Calgary team, contributing to modeling, reports, and policy analyses for utilities, regulators, and investors.

You will collaborate on high-impact projects, translate complex findings for diverse stakeholders, and help advance the transition to a low-carbon economy while mentoring colleagues and delivering client-ready work.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, economics, computer science, public policy, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of related experience in an energy-related field.
  • Renewable energy and climate change project experience or related academic work.
  • Experience in Practice Areas: Energy Planning and Policy, Transmission, Pricing and Risk, Market Advisory and Valuation, or Distribution Technology and Planning.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and ownership of work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist delivery of customer work through modeling, presentations, and writing subsections of reports.
  • Conduct independent research to develop reasonable assumptions and solutions.
  • Lead internal project obligations end-to-end and contribute to client deliverables.
  • Deliver presentations to customers and respond to questions.
  • Develop tools and models to improve functionality and efficiency.
  • Translate research results into clear visual representations.
