Job summary

Energy + Environmental Economics (E3) is seeking an Associate in Calgary to help shape energy policy and market analysis for utilities and regulators. You will conduct research, develop forecasting models, and support client strategies under senior guidance.

We value curiosity, rigor, and the ability to present findings clearly to diverse stakeholders; you will work in a hybrid, collaborative office environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in engineering, economics, CS, or public policy.
• 0–2 years in energy/climate policy or related project work.
• Hands-on experience in Energy Planning, Transmission, Pricing/Risk, or Market Advisory.

Responsibilities

• Assist delivery of customer work through modeling, presentations, writing, and reports.
• Conduct independent energy market research and reference standards.
• Develop competence in at least one topic within your Practice Area using E3 tools.
• Translate research results into clear visual representations.
• Track performance against plan and communicate with leadership.
• Contribute to knowledge management and reusable work samples.
