Job Description

The Senior Employee Relations Investigator is a strategic professional who closely follows the latest trends in their field and adapts them for application within their role and the business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are necessary to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers. The position involves handling staff management issues, including resource management and work allocation within the team or project.

Responsibilities

• Track and report HR-related ethics concerns raised through the hotline, liaising with the Ethics Office and regional partners to ensure thorough investigation and resolution, in accordance with the Global Disciplinary Review policy.
• Participate in initiatives involving investigation governance and complaint management, including engagement with regulators.
• Conduct investigations as needed.
• Respond to workplace concerns on behalf of senior management.
• Collaborate with the Employment Law team on investigations and responses to agency charges and litigation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, Citi Security and Investigative Services, and Audit on employee misconduct investigations.
• Provide guidance on restructuring initiatives.
• Assist in designing, developing, and delivering HR training initiatives.
• Interpret and apply HR policies across employment phases.
• Manage staff issues, including resource management and work distribution.
• Assess risks when making business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding the firm's reputation, and escalating control issues transparently.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations investigations.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
