Company Description

Job Description
CS is looking for several Junior / Mid-Level / Senior Embedded Software Engineers. Their role will be to test embedded safety-critical software applications embedded on Aerospace or Defense Systems. The role may evolve to a leadership or software development role.
The role is hybrid.

Responsibilities:

1. Report directly to both the client and our chief engineer, with tasks including:
2. Retro-engineer design from code
3. Carry out software testing (unit or integration) on complex software functions
4. Develop and run relevant tests on test platforms to verify design correctness
5. Debug issues raised during the software development cycle
6. Ensure traceability between all software design and test artifacts
7. Conduct independent peer reviews on design, code, or tests produced by team members
8. Draft all final technical documents
9. Provide clear status and workload updates to supervisors
10. Participate in continuous improvement of team performance (quality, efficiency, on-time delivery)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience in ADA, C, or C++
• Associate Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Interest and experience in troubleshooting complex software problems
• Good communication, interpersonal skills, team-player
• Curiosity, autonomy, proactivity, problem-solving skills
• Experience with testing tools such as LDRA or VectorCAST (minimum 5 years)
• Experience with GreenHills tools is a plus
• Basics in DO-178B/C or equivalent standards
• Knowledge of communication protocols: CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet
• Software tools: Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN
